Costa Rica Recovery S.A. is licensed as a treatment provider by the Costa Rican Ministry of Health and regulated by IAFA, The Institute of Alcoholism and Pharmacological Dependence.

The Institute of Alcoholism and Pharmacological Dependence (Instituto sobre Alcoholismo y Farmacodependencia) is the benchmark authority in Costa Rica appointed to governing and regulating all substance abuse disorder programs in the country. Accreditation from IAFA donotes that Costa Rica Recovery, S.A.  adheres to the highest standards of professional care and provides the most ethical treatment services available.  The Costa Rican Ministry of Health is responsible for regulating the healthcare industry in Costa Rica. This institution directs and leads the development of actions that protect and improve the physical, mental and social health status of inhabitants of medical facilities.

Costa Rica is a member of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC & RC), ensuring that requirements for counselor certification are similar to those of boards in other jurisdictions, including the United States.
